Correct electrical certification is essential for safety, compliance, and peace of mind.
Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates (MEIWCs) confirm that electrical work has been installed, altered or inspected safely and in accordance with current regulations.
An Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) must be issued for all new electrical installations. It may also be required where an alteration or addition involves the installation of a new circuit.
Where an alteration or addition does not include a new circuit, a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC) may be issued instead.
As a registered contractor, Hartwell Electrical Contractors Ltd will issue the correct certification for all qualifying work carried out.
Hartwell Electrical Contractors Ltd is registered with recognised industry bodies.
The type of certificate issued depends on the nature and extent of the work undertaken.
You should retain all certification and inspection paperwork for completed electrical work. Certificates and reports include schedules of inspections and test results, which may be required for future inspections, property sales, or insurance purposes.
If you are unsure which certification applies to your work, we are happy to advise.
All certification is issued in line with current regulations by a fully registered and insured contractor.
